The Cake Crew is a very busy factory producing around 2.5 million cupcakes per week. Your day as part of our production team will be fast paced. You may be part of the team that makes up the cake batter or topping, this involves following specific recipes and producing smooth mixes. This is a key stage and is the foundation for our tasty cakes.
Or you may be working on our depositing machines, ensuring the cake batter is deposited into cake cases evenly ready for the baking process.
The oven operator is a skilled process, ensuring that each recipe is baked for the correct amount of time to ensure the perfect cake base. This is hot and heavy work.
Once the cakes have cooled, you may be involved in topping the cream through the topping machines or injecting a yummy filling ready for the hand decoration that makes our cakes so special.
All our cakes are hand packed to ensure quality control and this is a fast-paced packing line where you will be expected to reject any cakes that don’t meet our high standards.
Finally, once through the metal detection process, packs are sealed and labelled then packed and wrapped ready for dispatch.
Alternatively, you could be working in our hygiene section ensuring that the highest of cleanliness standards are consistently maintained.
